Pandan Leaves are an essential in any Sri Lankan kitchen pantry. It’s a popular herb in Sri Lankan cuisine for the depth of flavour and unique aroma it adds to any dish. Its taste and smell is hard to describe, but it’s a delightful mix of vanilla, grassy, and coconut. Pandan Leaves are versatile in South Asian and South East Asian cooking, showing up in leaf form or as extracts in sweet or savoury foods (look up Green Waffles! 👀). And in Sri Lanka, we love using it in savoury dishes, like our Beef Curry!
The best curry kit! I’ve found that most that pre- packed kits don’t produce the same depth of flavour but this one was SO tasty and super easy to make. 5 year old and 7 year old also approved.
