How to Use Kit

Each Gedera & Co Home Cooking Kit comes with perfectly portioned dry spices, aromatics, & powders, and easy-to-follow instructions. You supply the protein and fresh ingredients, and we’ll take it from there! Since our blends are vegan / vegitarian, you can substitute the meat for a vegan-friendly protein. Sri Lankan goodness for everyone!

Sri Lankan Ingredient Highlight: Red Chilli 🌶️ 

We’re always blown away by the variety of peppers & chillies out there. They do their part by adding different layers of heat, intensity, flavor, and spice to any dish. In Sri Lanka, peppers are harvested abundantly and show up in savoury dishes as fried chillies or pepper paste, like our Coconut Sambol.  

 Just like salt, a rule of thumb to follow: you can add more chillies to a dish, but you can’t take them out! Make sure to add them gradually and taste your dish periodically to achieve that good-good level of spice.
